How would you like to have your best year ever? Here are 4 real estate resolutions that’ll help you have a successful 2019!
1. Follow Up Faster
Make this the year of quick communication. Clients, vendors, and colleagues all appreciate a swift reply, so give the people what they want! Try setting a goal for yourself to reply to your messages as quickly as possible. At the bare minimum, you should never let the sun go down without clearing out your inbox.
2. Network More Often
Maybe you already consider yourself to be a networking master. But you can always do more. Building and maintaining a strong local network–as well as a virtual network–is one of the most important things you can do as a real estate agent.
It’s a good idea to set a measurable goal for this real estate resolution. Can you put one more hour a week toward networking? What about attending one additional event a month?
3. Always Keep Learning
Many of the most successful business people in the world have one thing in common: They read a lot. It’s all too easy to let reading and learning new things fall off your to-do list. You might think that you’re too busy to spend an extra 20 minutes each morning with a book, but that time will pay major dividends in the long run. Stay curious and pursue new topics that interest you. And remember, this isn’t homework–it’s your career.
4. Be Bold
There’s no reward without risk. In the coming year, don’t be afraid to swing for the fences. If you have an idea, chase it. If you want to try something new with your branding or client retention, then do it! The worst thing that can happen is things won’t turn out as well as you’d hoped. But even failure is an opportunity, in its own way.
